Meet Our Team

Chelsie Black, LAc, MTSOM
Acupuncturist/Owner
Hello! I am Chelsie Black, the owner of Healing Sanctuary RSF located in Rancho Santa Fe, California. I am a California Licensed Acupuncturist and Board Certified Herbalist who loves helping people feel well.
In my late teens I experienced a wide range of health problems. I was diagnosed with numerous food allergies, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and also Lupus. After being put on numerous rounds of antibiotics along with many other medications, I developed side effects from the medications as I declined in health. I decided at that point that it was time to try something different.
With no understanding, belief, or bias of Chinese Medicine, I went in for acupuncture for the treatment of stress and low back pain. As soon as the treatment began, I immediately felt different. I was amazed with how the treatment left me pain and stress free. I knew then that this was something I wanted to do for others, to help people feel as well as I did and I immediately signed up for acupuncture school. After deciding to get regular treatments, I found that my other symptoms such as food allergies, joint pain, fatigue, irregular periods, anxiety, and high ANA blood count started disappearing.
During school I completed over 3,500 hours of extensive didactic and clinical training in many subjects including; Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Western Medicine, and Nutrition. Since 2010 when I started acupuncture school, I have seen first hand the beneficial results of Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities. Throughout my study, I interned at different locations treating patients with various ailments. While interning at the UCSD Cancer Research Institute, I helped patients who wanted to minimize side effects of their cancer treatments including, but not limited to; insomnia, nausea, headaches, hot flashes, and constipation. At the Veteran’s Clinic, I was honored to have the opportunity to have served Veterans and their families who suffered from problems such as PTSD, shoulder pain, anxiety, and low back pain. At the UCSD Pacific Beach Clinic, I helped the homeless and underserved populations who came in with problems such as post-stroke symptoms, knee pain, schizophrenia, menopause, and depression. Through experience and extensive training, I am able to evaluate and apply treatment strategies based on my patient’s individual needs.
During a session I listen to how you are feeling and adjust the treatment to fit your individual needs. I do a blend of Japanese acupuncture which is very light and hardly felt, Chinese acupuncture, and orthopedic acupuncture for chronic pain issues. I care deeply for each of my patients and will do everything I can to help them achieve optimal health.
My patient’s find their sessions to be an experience like no other that leaves them feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I offer acupuncture, facial rejuvenation, micro-needling, cupping, herbal medicine, and human design readings. I am so thankful that I love what I do and I enjoy it every day!
In 2021, I decided to expand to a larger location where we can provide more healing modalities and wellness related retail to help people find spiritual and mental well-being. I wanted to provide an infrared sauna to help clients minimize their toxins as well as provide pain relief and improved sleep. I am thankful to be able to have a beautiful place to work inside of Cielo Retail Shops right near Lake Hodges.

Lynda’s passion for natural health began decades ago. Growing up on a farm in South Africa, surrounded by a variety of animals, especially horses, she often assisted her mother in caring for them and troubleshooting their health concerns. A pivotal moment in her life occurred when a close friend passed away from cystic fibrosis, motivating Lynda to explore natural healing methods and deepen her understanding of health to better support her loved ones.
An avid gardener, Lynda loves growing herbs and continuously studies health, psychology, and spirituality to expand her knowledge. She holds certifications in Bach Flower Remedies, Western Herbalism, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, and Ayurveda. After relocating to the United States in 2004 with her husband and three children, Lynda embraced the opportunity to pursue her dream of becoming a healthcare practitioner and obtaining a professional degree in natural medicine. Grateful for the opportunity to study and practice this ancient healing art, Lynda remains deeply committed to her work as a healer.
Lynda and her husband of thirty years manage an organic farm in Escondido, where they grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers. They also care for a horse, four cows, and three dogs. Both are devoted practitioners of yoga and meditation. Lynda views her work as a healer and farmer as the ultimate expression of a balanced and fulfilling life.
